Licensed Professional Counselor

Certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator for Couples

National Certified Counselor

Hello! I am so glad that you are here. People seek help for many different reasons. Sometimes, it's life's daily stressors that have become too much to handle and other times, we are overwhelmed by serious life events. Whether you are struggling with the stress and strain of a current issue or coping to the best of your ability with a life-long problem, I offer a space to feel safe and connected as we navigate through whatever is hindering you from maximizing your full unique potential.

A little info about me: I am a Nationally Certified Licensed Professional Counselor. I earned my BA in Psychology and Elementary Education from Fisk University and my MA in Community Counseling from Argosy University. I am a proud native of Nashville, TN (Go TITANS!), but I have happily called GA (Yay Falcons!) home for many years. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling to a nice beach, cooking/baking, playing board games, listening to great music, and spending quality time with my husband, family, and friends.

I worked for 6 years as a school counselor and that experience provided me with a strong foundation in working with individuals who have a diverse spectrum of challenges. I provide a warm, non-judgmental, collaborative environment and use a holistic approach to therapy by incorporating a variety of therapeutic modalities into my practice. Some of the methods used include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Adlerian Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, DBT, Mindfulness Based Therapy, and Existential. While I enjoy working with all ages, my primary focus is working with adolescents and adults ages 18 and up. My areas of specialty include working with individuals and couples with a myriad of issues which include: ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem, relationship/marital, infertility, spirituality/finding life purpose, perfectionism, life changes/challenges, and communication struggles.

I approach each session with an open mind, listening ear, and encouraging heart. I truly get excited by helping clients discover and develop their own talents and strengths regardless of their past. I feel that our past can inform, but does not dictate our present or future. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe, nurturing environment for clients to self-reflect and explore their greatest challenges. I encourage clients to be authentic, open to the process, and be ready to make positive changes. Let's face it, sometimes the stressors of life can be so challenging and possibly interrupt our flow. We might need a hand to help us to identify those strengths and abilities within so that we can regain hope and healing. My hope is that you will allow me to help you or a loved one navigate the way back to living a more peaceful and fulfilled life. I welcome the opportunity to work with you.
